CSA Box #2

Kale, Napa cabbage, eggs, strawberries, spring onions, broccoli, turnips, gem lettuces.

My second box of community supported agriculture foods arrived. Well, actually son Mike and I walked to the farmer’s market to pick it up. Which is why the quart box of strawberries appears to be a cup short. It was full when I picked it up. And here is what I made with all that fresh deliciousness:

The strawberries needed nothing-summer perfection.
Some of the greens went into smoothies.
Some of the greens went into a couple salads like this one.
I made kale chips.
This stir fry has a peanut sauce on it.
Miso soup

And I made some mashed turnips also, but I ate them without taking a photo.

I am definitely eating more variety of veggies with my subscription farm fare.

  1. Wow, that’s so fresh! I’ve never been much of a veggie eater, but this would definitely make me one haha thanks for sharing! 🙂
